In 2010 ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, the World Mayors Council on Climate Change and the City of Bonn, Germany launched “Resilient Cities”, the first forum on cities and adaptation to climate change. Since then, more than 500 participants and beyond 30 partners participate in this important event each year, making “Resilient Cities” a milestone event connecting local government leaders and climate adaptation experts to discuss adaptation challenges facing urban environments around the globe.
The 10th anniversary edition of the ICLEI Resilient Cities Congress will take place from 26-28 June 2019 in Bonn, Germany. Resilient Cities 2019 will celebrate a decade of sharing knowledge and expertise for the advancement of urban resilience and adaptation.
